DSC09568_kopieIt has been nearly 2 weeks now since the last update, so here is a new update about the new building of the Baloe 2. The last 2 weeks there has been done alot mostly in the engine room, but in the accomodation as well.

news-baloeOur shoalbuster Baloe just finished her last project in the Baltic in Rostock. Her job there was to retreive a sinker pipeline. After getting the sinker pipeline above the water a crack was found and the sinker pipeline had to be lowered back into the water. At the moment she is underway back to Holland where she will be available for charter untill beginning of march.

img_0510 kopieThis weekend we are paying a visit to the company H.S Marine in Italy to take a look at the new crane which will be for the shoalbuster Baloe 2. The crane is not ready yet but here are already some pictures of the progress for now.

429696_287306017995587_100001485727531_790417_1741625660_nFrom our last job in the warm south Sines Portugal for Van Oord the multicat Yogi left just after New Year to the Baltic sea towards Klaipeda. The job here was to salvage a damaged sinker pipeline for DEME which has been there for almost a year. After recovering approximately 90% of the sinker pipeline and landing it succesfull on the beach, the Yogi was used together with divers to retrieve the last pipes from the water as well. During these operations the weather started to change quiet abit and the winter was there with temperatures of -27 degrees Celcius.

Multicat Yogi assisting Athena cutter dredger Print E-mail

On the 1st of November 2011 our multicat Yogi arrive on the Maasvlakte 2 to assist the Athena with there trials. The Athena is Van Oord first self propelled cutter dredger. IHC has build the Athena for Van Oord. During the trial period of the Athena the Multicat Yogi will assist her with anchorhandling operations and any other job as required. 

After the trail period multicat Yogi is setting course to Portugal to assist the Athena on her first real job in Portugal.
