Verzameling_nieuwbouwNewbuilding pictures of Shoalbuster Baloe

On the 19th of October 2011 Jack van Dodewaard went to have a look at the NEWBUILDING Process of our Shoalbuster 2308 (BALOE). Damen shipyards build the ships hull in Poland. Jack went there to visit the building site of the new Shoalbuster. The building process of the new Shoalbuster was already in a far stage of completion. The expected date of arrival of the hull in the Netherlands will be week 51 of the year 2011.

On our new Shoalbuster workboat we made some new features to improve our services towards our valued customers. Down here we uploaded some pictures with the a small explanation with it. To view the picture on there full size just click on it.

Shoalbuster Baloe superstructure

Here you are looking at the superstructure of the vessel. As you can see the windows of this renewed Baloe Shoalbuster 2308 are heeling to the front of the vessel. This is the first Shoalbuster 2308 in the world who had this feature. We redesigned the superstructure to make the bride of this workboat more spacious inside.

This is only a small change with hugh benefits. Now we are able to build in all equipment more efficiently comparing to the previous workboat " Baloe".

Shoalbuster Baloe Overall view

Here you are seeing the starboard side of the new building vessel. As you can see

Fendering_Shoalbuster_Baloe_

the vessel is equipped with fendering all over the vessel even under the waterline of the vessel.

This is to protect the vessel of any damage from the outside. As well the fendering system will be of use to protect any objects that the Baloe is working with.

The fendering system that will be used is a new type of fendering. On the previous workoats owned by Herman sr b.v. were equipped with Rubber fendering.

The new fendering that is used is not made of rubber and is lighter than rubber. With this effort the vessel will be lighter and that means a bit less draft of the vessel.

A_frame_Shoalbuster_Shoalbuster A-Frame

On the picture shown on the leftside the Shoalbuster A-frame is shown. The new building Baloe will get her own A frame.

With this A-frame the Shoalbuster Baloe will be again able to fulfill seabed ploughing jobs on site.

Holding Herman sr b.v. has many different seabed ploughs available for there vessel. On the new workboat Baloe the 10 metre of the smaller 8 meter plough is the best way to get rid of any high spot on the seabed floor.

Moonpool for survey jobs

On our Workboat Shoalbuster Tarka 3 we build in a professional moonpool installation for varioussurvey jobs.

On thenewbuild Shoalbuster Baloe we integrated a full moonpoolinstallation. With this installation we are able to fullfill any survey job. As well we are able to fulfill any combining jobs.

Survey jobs together with anchorhandling operations or assisting jobs. Because the Moonpool is build in in the front of the vessel no body has to be worried about multibeam that can be damaged by a steel wire.
