Our Multicat Yogi assisted the first selfproppelled cutter dredger of Van Oord on her trials before delivery from IHC Merwede. During the period of 1,5 week the Yogi did many different jobs at the Athena.
Anchorhandling is one of the major activities of the Multicat Yogi in the Europort at the Maasvalkte 2 . As well assisting with all other jobs that are required during the trial period.
After the trials in the Europort The Multicat Yogi sets sail to Sines (Portugal). In Sines the Yogi will assist the Athena on her first reel job. The period of this job will be untill around 16 december 2011. |
Sandmotor project (Boskalis/ Van Oord) from march 2011 untill July 2011
After the succesfull ending of the Delfslandse Coast project the Yogi went to work straight away on the Sandmotor project. This project is very unique and innovative method for coastal protection. On this project the Yogi assisted the hopper dredgers Utrecht, Prins der Nederlanden and Oranje on connecting them to the floating pipelines both 1000 and 800 mm diamater, and maintaining/ reapairing the floating pipelines.

 Delfslandse kust sand suppletion (Boskalis/ Van Oord) October 2010 untill March 2011
After the succesfull ending of the Nordstream project the Yogi departed towards Langeroog Germany, a small island in the north of Germany where she would assist in sinker operations. This Sinker was towed towards Scheveningen by the MTS Indus with the Yogi as aft vessel. On Arrival in Scheveningen the sinker was lowered to the bottom of the coast and the project was started. On this project the Yogi assisted the Dredger Utrecht and Oranje with connection the floating pipelines and maintaining the floating pipeline where needed.

Nord Stream project (Boskalis / DEME) August 2010 until October 2010
August2010 after a short maintenance docking the multicat Yogi left the yard in Stellendam. Yogi was headed for Sassnitz direction to work on the Nord Stream project. The Nord Stream project is to create a gas pipeline from Russia to Germany. The multicat Yogi was used to work with a dredger from Boskalis called Hansa. The Yogi was responsible for towing and positioning of the dredger during operations as well she did anchorhandling operations.

Stene Twins Ostend (DEME) March 2010 until August
In late March the multicat Yogi left the Thanet wind farm project because she had a deadline had to arrive at Ostend to participate work at the Twin Stene project. Here the breakwaters were were extended from the port of Ostend, the Yogi was pushing pontoons loaded with stones, gravel and concrete blocks dragging and pushing themselves within the port and the jetties where crane barges were unloading them.

Thanet offshore wind farm (Subocean) March 2010
Beginning of March Multicat Yogi departed after a maintenance docking from Hardinxveld heading for Great Yarmouth. Multicat Yogi meets the AMT Discoverer again to assist. After a few days standby at the AMT Discoverer the multicat Yogi left Ramsgate to assist the UR-101 with anchorhandling. Shortly thereafter, the Yogi is used to assist the Oil of Vroon Offshore Express, were the main operations were anchorhandling.

Belwind Offshore wind farm (Ballast Nedam / VanOord) September 2009 until February 2010
In late September the multicat Yogi left from Liverpool and was heading to Zeebrugge. When arrived the Multicat Yogi was assiting the HVLS Svanen outside Zeebrugge on the Bligbank 18 miles offshore.Here the HVLS Svanen made foundations for a new wind farm on the Blighbank. The multicat Yogi assisted with anchorhandling, and positioning monopiles (foundations) on the inner side of the HVLS Svanen. |
Rhyllflats Offshore wind farm (Subocean) April 2009 until September2009
In late April the multicat Yogi left from Kirkwall (Orkneys) and head back to Liverpool to finish the last part of the wind farm Rhyllflats. This time in collaboration with Subocean for the cables within the wind farm itself. She worked here with the AMT Discoverer barge which was positioned by 7 anchors. The activities here were anchor handling, towing assistance and supply of water, fuel and food to the AMT Discoverer. |
