Herman Senior, a healthy and successful family business, is looking for an experienced Master < 3000 GT. Our fleet now consists of 12 vessels: 6 Shoalbusters and 6 Multicats operating worldwide.

Tasks and responsibilities
- Maintain a safe, professionally responsible and environmentally friendly watch.
- Supervise and motivate the crew during the watch.
- Train and coach other crew members.
- Maintain vessel records, including the ship log and daily reports.
- Enforce onboard safety and environmental requirements and maintain safety equipment, including ISM and ISPS requirements.
- Implement the Herman Senior Management System, company policy, Standing Instructions and Ship Security Plan.
- Comply with national and international maritime legislation.
- Provide medical assistance in the event of an accident.
- Optimize vessel performance and operational continuity.
- Perform routine maintenance and repair work.
Qualifications
- Valid Master < 3000 GT certificate of competency in accordance with STCW Reg. II/2.
- All required STCW certificates, including Basic Safety Training, Advanced Fire Fighting, PSCRB, Medical First Aid, Bridge Resource Management and Radar/ARPA at management level.
- Resident in the Netherlands.
- Good spoken and written English.
- Experience with general support work in dredging and marine construction.
- Experience with towing operations.
